New power for Hamburg Airport
On schedule, two remanufactured CHP units with Waukesha rich-burn engines of type L7042G were delivered and installed at Hamburg Airport on September 1. The gas engines were upgraded by means of brand-new shortblocks and rebuilds at the Wulf Johannsen factory in Kiel. Plant construction will begin immediately, as parts of the plant periphery will also be modernized. By the end of the year, the units are expected to be running in regular operation again, before it is the turn of the next two units next year.
